Plain: Today was just an ok day. I played baseball.

Poetic: I was thinking to myself today, about going and eating some hay. I don't know why i was feeling this way.

Precise: The quarterback stepped back over the 50 yard line, through a pass to the receiver over the middle in the inzone. The Panthers won the football game by 7.

Pretentious: So I think it is no big deal to graduate highschool. I mean who needs to anyways?
